How do I provide my client with a jAlbum to post on their own website

I would like to give a client their jAlbum slide show that I created with jAlbum. Can I give the customer the jap file for them to put on their own website, or do they need a jAlbum license to put the file on their own website?

Thank you in advance,

Jim

Without a jAlbum license, your client won't be able to run jAlbum at all, so the project files (like jalbum-settings.jap) won't do him any good.

Why not just give him the output, which he can then upload anywhere he wants? That's just HTML/CSS/Javascript/JPG files, and requires no license.

If my client purchases a jAlbum license, Will providing the jap be enough or will a skin license also be required?

What does the jap actually include

Just curious, more information to forget and ask you about in the future :-)

Jim

P.S. Don't ever let my past questions be removed. I refer to them and the answers more times than I want to admit. :-(

Even better: https://jalbum.net/help/en/Managing_images_with_jAlbum

You want to give someone a cake that you have baked. You don't need to give him a sack of flour, a bag of sugar, sticks of butter, a recipe card, and the oven. You just give him the cake.

When you upload an album, you're just putting the cake in the shop window. When someone views the album, he's just eating the cake. The ingredients, recipe, and oven are no longer involved - their job was finished when you took the cake out of the oven.

Perhaps you wish to use the new "jAlbum gift" feature? Just upload the gallery to our hosting, then enter your profile page at jalbum.net and select "Give away album" from the album's context menu.
