The interesting news is "under the hood." This is Edge v.79. The last version was, I believe, v.44. So why the jump? It's because Edge is now using the Chromium engine, which just got updated from v.79 to v.80.
It's still somewhat tarted up, so it doesn't look like Chrome. And it still feels as if Microsoft is sacrificing some smoothness of operation in order to gain speed. They're also touting the new privacy protections in Edge. Given that Chrome has been labeled "spyware" by some tech reviewers, that's a plus.
But I'll stick with Firefox, thank you. Privacy protection, smoothness, and better image and font rendering than its competitors.
