Hi !

The code to change "New Images" icon from Tiger doesn't work in Photoblogger.

.thumbnails .column .card .new-image:before { content: "\1F31F"}
 .thumbnails .column .card .new-image { color: yellow; font-size: 2.0em; right: 10px; }

Have CSS values here other names ?

Thanks, Jerry

Yes, the CSS is very different. But since the "new-image" class appears to be used in only one context in the album, you can get away with just this:
.new-image {color:gold; font-size:2.0em; right:1.0rem; top:0.5rem;}
You can target just the color, or also the size and position.

Hi folks, is it possible to turn off the grey layer behind the "New Image" icon ?

Use this code in the "Settings / Photoblogger / Custom code / CSS" box:
.new-image { background-color: transparent; }

By the way I am replacing the stars with the attached icon gradually as I update skins - thinking of you. (Photoblogger hasn't been updated yet though.)

Thank You, dear Laszlo, for replay and for thinking on me. :)
The star looks like now more as a heavenly star, than as a political sign.

But still is the star more a symbol for award (i.e. hotels), than for something new.
I think a stripe with word "new" would be more appropriate.

Something like this:

Sure, that's one way of resolving it - perhaps I'm too cautious.

A suggestion on another way of indicating new objects in a project. A page template that shows all new images, or if none within the timeframe set the nth most recent. Thumbnails link to the image and/or the subfolder they are within. An advantage is all new images can be seen regardless of how deep they are in an album.

I have such a template but it won’t work with recent Tiger versions, it reports parsing errors that don’t exist.

Or just use text. Any language, any text, any size, any color, any background color. A user can make it say WOW!!! in bright blue with a red background, if he so chooses.
