How to customize the title+description placement in the header?

I just started using the Photologger skin and I am not used to CSS management and editing.

I would like to customize the title+description placement in the header in such way that the title & description will never cover more than a certain percentage (i.e 40%) of the width of the header background picture.

Is there any "elegant" way to proceed? (As I am not very good at coding and CSS, I will strictly follow the instructions I will be given)

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Ad this code to Settings / Photoblogger / Site / Custom code / CSS:
.header .head-cont { max-width: 40%; }

Thank you so much!
It works fine! (of course)

But I have two other problems:

1. In order to optimize the text display, I would like to choose another text font. I would like to see font samples. But the link to font samples doesn't work: it seems to be a dead link.

2. How can I change (reduce) the height of navigation menu items ?

That's a link to an HTML page that's part of the installed skin, which then opens in your default browser. If you choose Photoblogger, then Tools, Open directories, Skin directory, do you not see a font-samples.html page listed?
