Hi,

difficult to explain what I want...

In my subalbum
https://webalben.rezkonv.de/albums/stuttgart21/album/events/2019-03-26ff_Berlinfahrt/index.html
i've included a folder which is located in a different album on my site. I included the folder as 'external in edit mode of this external folder.
My question: is it possible to add a folder thumbnail to this external folder which is shown in my subalbum?
Regards
Ulli

If you add the other album as a weblocation, you can choose your own picture for that album.

I first made a test with a small album. Now you will see the success in my large album.

Ooops,
the selection of an folder image of my choice doesn't work, instead the image of the linked album is always taken, independant of my selection. Where is my mistake?

Did you click the update button after selecting a new image?

Yes, the GUI of jAlbum is sometimes difficult to understand!

In this case it would be more logical that jAlbum does an automatic update if the image is changed via the browser button. In that case could the update button be removed.

You are right.

If you want to select a different image which is located in the same local folder as prevoiusly selected you have to restart the search from the root in all local drives and folders again, whih is not so simple if you have a lot of nested subdirectories. If the search would begin in the folder previously selected this would be much more easier.

Nevertheless jAlbum is a great program which I don't want to miss!

On Mac OS the file browser window does start at the location of the the last used local image.

In Windows, it doesn't, for reasons unknown. It's been on my "small but annoying bugs" list for a long time.

Maybe it is just Windows 10?
The other thing I can do is drag and drop from the OS file system onto the jAlbum file browser window - sometimes easier than navigating the file system if I already have a OS window showing the file i want to use. Not sure if Windows allows that.
