I researched this, and it seems this is how Apple imagined it should work. Perhaps they would like to spare with bandwidth - I don't know. I will try to route to the Google player directly on iOS devices.

Now I updated the sample album to use the other player, however sometimes it just shows an empty screen - perhaps the PDF file is too large and takes some time to load?

It half works. The PDF loads fine but you can’t click on links to jump to specific pages - for example those on the index page. I’d go for not using the player and renaming the download button to ‘Open’ - just my opinion.

Yes! That’s working perfectly on my iPhone.

Except on the PC where the download button actually means download.

Have you tried licking on the links on the index page?

Maybe the button can be named. Open/download or even selected for the specific device - but very messy.

The alternative, which would work on any device, presumably, is to have PDF, Docs etc. open directly rather that on the index page.

Yes and they tasted awful.....
Ok, i withdraw my statement - it was not perfect but good enough for me.

The alternative, you mentioned, would perhaps be an even better solution to it.

It tends to make a smeary mess of the screen, too.

In one of my skins, I treat PDF's more like web locations - the thumbnail just opens the PDF in a new tab. Not as elegant, but maybe more robust.

That’s a solution that might be even better.

I was thinking of create a weblink to a pdf folder, instead of just putting the pdf in a photoblogger folder. But then I have to create a link every time I add a pdf-file. And that takes away the automation process so it’s not really an option for me.
