Integrated browser and CSS perspective, plus other CSS bugs

Stumbled on another CSS property (needed for Pluto) that the integrated browser doesn't support properly: perspective.

View this in any "real" browser, then view it in the integrated browser.

Edit: I've rolled up the known integrated browser bugs into a single demo page. View in a regular browser, then compare to the integrated browser.

Found another one. The integrated browser doesn't honor this:
.somediv a:hover {cursor: zoom-in;}
Added to the demo page, just for the record (only the first one, perspective, is a real killer).

Thanks for reporting. Sadly I don't think Oracle is putting much attention to keeping the embedded browser current. I'm looking into serving local previews from an embedded web server (Jetty) so we don't have these JSON loading warnings which is now affecting all browsers.

Not surprised that it's falling by the wayside. Building a browser is no small task.

Setting up localhost on my PC has been a huge plus - no need to upload to preview JSON albums. Just wish F12 would use it automagically. ;)

Support for previewing using an embedded web server has now been added to v18.4 b2: http://jalbum.net/forum/thread.jspa?messageID=335152&#335152

This bug is clearly never going to be fixed. I will delete this thread on Aug. 15, 2020.

Try posting bugs we've both identified to be in the underlying Java directly to Oracle.

Someone already did post the one that really matters (perspective). But that was 7 years ago. Let's just say that doesn't give me much hope that it will ever get fixed. ;)

https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8091705

I can't report anything, or add a post to that existing report - only OpenJDK Authors have posting privileges, and to get that, you have to jump through all kinds of hoops (including already being a project contributor).

The other bugs (cursors, borders) are fringe cases that can be ignored.
