Video creation halts with CreateProcess error=5, Access denied

Hi

I'm trying to create a new album in version 16.1.2 of jalbum. Everything else gets done, but for every video in the folder, the process fails with the error "c:\folder\filename.mp4:java.io.IOException: CreateProcess error=5, Access denied" (maybe "permission denied", my system is in another language).

I'm on windows, and the files have no readonly:s set, so it's not that the videos themselves are not accessible. Running jalbum as administrator doesn't help, either. Would anyone have an idea about what this might be?

It's not a version issue, either, as I had the same problem already on version 13.2.

Have you checked the permissions for ffmpeg itself? Use SHIFT + Cntrl + C from within jAlbum and ffmpeg is inside the ‘bin’ subfolder.

Yep. That was it. Checking from the file manager's side, the access rights seemed to be fine for ffmpeg.exe.
However, when I went to the folder with command prompt, and tried to run the ffmpeg.exe manually, I got back access denied. There was probably something wrong with the exe itself.
Apparently the folder with the ffmpeg.exe doesn't get wiped when uninstalling and reinstalling the software.
So I removed the entire \users\username\Appdata\Roaming\jAlbum\bin -folder, uninstalled Jalbum and reinstalled it.

And now it works. Thank you both for your help.

If you get the same problem again try deleting just the bin folder and ffmpeg file, jAlbum will create a new folder and file as soon as you try to process a video.
