Thanks.
Maybe it is possible?

What would the sort sequence be? Latitude? Longitude?

Well, yes, but the coordinates have two numbers: latitude and longitude. You'd have to pick one or the other to do the sorting. Imagine a map of Europe with pinpoints in France, Germany, Hungary, and Italy. Which one is "first?"

Yes, I know that. So should the locations be sorted by latitude, or by longitude?

Example:

Rome: 41° 54' N, 12° 30' E
Budapest: 47° 30' N, 19° 02' E
Berlin: 52° 31' N, 13° 24' E
Paris: 48° 51' N, 2° 21' E

What is the correct sequence for those 4 locations, and why?

Nearest to what?

And since latitude and longitude don't translate directly into distance (the Earth is a globe, so one degree of longitude near the poles is a much shorter distance than one degree of longitude near the equator), how does one compute the distance between some arbitrary origin and a bunch of other locations? The math is well understood, but it ain't simple!

Yes, I understand it is not that simple.
Maybe it is, but have to do right math.
Can you use Google math?
As Lightroom do?

Again, nearest to what?

Go back to my "four cities" example. What would the "correct" sequence be? And why?

It would seem easier to use keywords or date/time taken to arrange images, or if you have limited images per folder just drag them into the order you want.

If not, pls do!

Please don't misunderstand. I'm not being aggressive. I just don't know what the sorting sequence would be when sorting by location. I'm trying to understand what it is you're asking for.

A new feature has to be something that the computer can be told to do. Sorting alphabetically, or sorting by camera date, are things that are easy to do. But I don't know how you can sort things by location.

If you sort the four cities by latitude, the sequence would be Rome, Budapest, Paris, and Berlin. If you sort them by longitude, the sequence would be Paris, Rome, Berlin, Budapest. If you're sorting them according to how far they are from München, the sequence would be Berlin, Budapest, Paris, and Rome (and jAlbum would have to have some way of computing the distances). Which way would you want it to be done?
