Is it possible to combine keywords in a search so that only photos containing both keywords are shown in the results?

Now it looks for any of the keywords. At the current version you can't run combined search.

Hello

Now we have 2021 an I would like to ask if there is any possibilty to combine 2 keywords i the search? I have a album with pictures of my hometown and need to search for all picture e.q. which have the keyword downtown and the keyword -1950.

e.q. search: downtown, -1950
result: shows all pictures from downtown until 1950.

I found you description at https://jalbum.net/blog/entry/filtering-and-sorting-in-albums.
But I dont understand how it works.

Andreas

Attachment Using year.PNG (39.3 KB)
Attachment Entering year.PNG (280.8 KB)
Search works this way:

cat -> find any picture with the word "cat" in the related fields
cat dog -> find any picture with either cat or dog
cat and dog -> only pictures that have both words
"cat dog" -> only pictures containing the words exactly in this order

Unfortunately, "keywords" is not a numeric field, so even if you enter "1950" the skin cannot calculate before or after dates.

In order "Filtering and sort" could work you'd have to enter these dates as custom variables, in Edit mode -> Variables panel, see the attached screenshot. You could use the picture date, but that might be different from what you'd like to have.

Once the "year" variables present you can use them in filtering or sort, see the second screenshot.

Hello
thanks. But at my album it does not work. You can try here: https://greifswaldbilder.de/fotos.
There are 2 pictures with the keyword Graffiti, but only one with the keyword "Graffiti" and "Geist". If you search for "Graffiti,Geist" or "Graffity Geist" it shows you 2 pictures. If you search for "Graffiti and Geist" it shows you a lot more pictures, but should show you just one.

Unfortunately, "keywords" is not a numeric field, so even if you enter "1950"
the skin cannot calculate before or after dates.

1950 is a keyword too.

Your page is German, so you have to search for "graffiti und geist", otherwise it will find all pictures containing "and" too.

1950 is a keyword too.
That is the problem with it. It's a string, not a numeric value.
