I like Gromit's newest ability to incorporate bottominfo.txt and topinfo.txt files into its output. I understand these files take on the attributes of the primary document so no additional html is required to 'format' the output. How exactly is all this achieved?

I assume you have to first test if there is such a txt file and then of course, have some css code to control it. Where and how do you do that? Is there some easier way, like a header.inc or footer.inc file that jAlbum natively recognizes?

In Gromit, open up index.htt and look at lines 35-38. If you don't care about the global/local scope option, it gets even simpler.

Then open common.css, and see lines 147-167. Most of the styling variables are coming from the Fonts tab in the Gromit settings - the width and text-shadow values are computed in init.bsh.
