List of jaext tools

Was reading around and found old post of http://jalbum.net/forum/thread.jspa?threadID=27963&start=0&tstart=0Is Is project current and if so, how may I use it as jaext type? Is there a local source for these valuable additions?

They're scattered all over the place. Here are some of the current versions I've collected.

Here are two more:

Openwith-tool by David, allows one to open external editor from within jAlbum and while creating album. I use it with Irfanview to add IPTC info or add arrows or comments on a photo.

Tzipper-TomCee tool will zip an album's slides or hi-res images into a package

(don't know if it has some specificity to Linux or not, it is a different size)

As this thread however is seemingly the best single resource for the jaext tools, I thought the 'newer' OpenWith version should be incorporated for consistency.

I'd have to say no simply based on the latest 'OpenWith' incorporated in this thread. Also, there is a brand new tool just listed in the thread (histogram)

that likely should also be added to this group. In theory, all jaext tools probably belong in the "General Development" forum (or maybe the Tips forum).

As far as I know, at this point though, ALL jaext tools are at least mentioned (with link) in this thread here.

There is a new blog posted May 28, 2012 announcing a new Auto Correction tool developed by Sarah Schölzel. The tool can be downloaded from there.

Another new tool (by Sarah!!!) announced today on the jAlbum blog , the ArtyFilter. Added details here .

It includes 8 different filters that you can apply to your photos to give them an artistic style.

The OpenWith Tool is now included with the jAlbum version, 10.7. Likely some of the other popular tools will eventually be included sooner or a little later. Check your version to see what you have. At least the initial version of a tool is included here. If possible check the source (blog, other post, etc) for absolute latest version.

We sadly don't have any natural place for announcing new plugins/extensions or updates to plugins, but I'll bundle and tell about this improvement when we package the official jAlbum service release. It will be in the release notes.
