Tiger 3 skin - questions on Views

Hello,

I am looking for some assistance in using Views.

I have created a Date View based on Creation date which gives me folders sequenced by year with the earliest year at the top, most recent at the bottom. I would like to reverse the sequence so the current year is at the top. If I use the sort/filter button within the View folder there is a Reverse option shown in the context sensitive menu, but regardless of whether "Reverse is ticked or not, the same old to recent year sequence prevails. i.e I am not able to make "Reverse" work.

Second question is, I have two Views created, one by Date and another by Place. I have in the Settings Site/Functions/Top Navigation section Include web locations and pages both checked, but the views do not appear in the top Navigation bar. Only when I am inside that View does the top navigation menu display. Do I misunderstand where the View menus can be created in the navigation menus?

Thank you.

It's very counterintuitive, but once the date view has been created, try sorting it by name, and reverse the order. Double-click the thumbnail in Explore for the date view. In the window that opens, click the Image ordering icon at upper right. Now choose Name and Reverse.

I know, it's weird, but I think it will do what you want. Not sure about applying it to subfolders - if there are months, for example, that might result in April, December, February, January, July, June, and so on.

Views are folders, so they must appear in the top menu if you check "Folders". If it's enabled, and they still won't appear, that might be because Settings / Advanced / Process only updated directories is enabled.
