Hi,

I recently found the file "C:\Users\MDrück\AppData\Roaming\jAlbum\places-cache.txt"

Content (some rows):
78.218,15.671	Longyearbyen	Svalbard	SJ
78.2,15.584	Nybyen	Svalbard	SJ
60.458,2.7
60.523,2.399
78.2,15.585	Nybyen	Svalbard	SJ
62.448,-7.027	Gjógv	Eysturoy	FO
58.944,7.687	Ose	Agder	NO
78.218,15.666	Longyearbyen	Svalbard	SJ
63.533,-19.507	Skogar	South	IS
62.362,-6.896	Gjógv	Eysturoy	FO
63.178,14.637	Östersund	Jämtland	SE
How is this file populated? What is the purpose of that file? Does it speed something up (the file name suggests that)?

Thanks.

The file contains GPS locations when the Organise>Group by Place is used, not sure if anything else causes the file to be created/updated.

It speeds up "Group by place" and also avoid flooding the external place lookup-service with requests for the same location multiple times.
