Using PDF in jAlbum

There was an announcement about using PDFs in jAlbum but I can't find any info in help relating to it. Maybe the info is universally known but it missed me! Where can I find help?
And I already create pages of text that I save as a JPG when I want to add some. Saving as a PDF does the same thing. What am I missing?

Make a little test project. Add one of the attached PDF's to it, or both. Notice that it now produces a usable thumbnail, instead of a generic PDF icon? That's what this is about.

Different skins handle PDF's in different ways, but the recent core changes have nothing to do with that. Some handle them well, some handle them badly, and some don't handle them at all.
