Hello !
Trying "album of album"
https://jalbum.net/help/en/Making_an_album_of_album%27s

According this :
Click on the "Settings' button and then on the 'Pages' icon and set linking to 'Link to originals' and then deselect both 'Copy originals' and 'Make slides'.

But i don't see this in Settings/Pages
Seems to be for an older version ?

Those last steps aren't necessary for the album of albums to work. They just prevent the generation of some unnecessary files.

But if your project consists only of web locations, in the current version of jAlbum, you can go to Settings > Images > Include and check only Thumbnails and Originals. Then under Settings > Images > Advanced, de-select Copy originals if needed. Finally, under Settings > Pages, de-select Make slide pages (if it's grayed out, you can ignore it).

This will give you a little warning when you make the album about original files being outside of the output directory. You can ignore the warning.

I've just updated the wiki, but I'll leave it to RobM to provide the screenshots - I'm on Windows, so my screenshots would look out of place!

Fine, 10 minutes for the answer ...

Another (small) thing : the title of the web locations in the project are not self-explanatory, i got labels like
myWebSite.fr-356.webloc

the name of the very album should be better !

The file name (label) will be that pseudo-random name, but the title and comment are drawn from the album.

Try creating a webloc pointing to:

https://jefftucker.jalbum.net/skins/

The file name will be something like: jefftucker.jalbum.net-158.webloc, but the title will be Skins for jAlbum and the comment will be Jeff Tucker Skins for jAlbum. It extracts whatever information it can from the target album's index page. In this case, it's picking up the contents of the HTML <title> tag for the title and the <meta name='description'> tag for the comment.

ETA: See screenshot.

My skin demo site uses them extensively. The top two levels are albums of albums. You don't see any regular albums until the third level down. :)

Updated images, using existing screen shots so the settings do not specifically show those mentioned. This makes it easier to keep the wiki updated in future.

Hi,
I am editing the title of the webloc :
The file name (label) will be that pseudo-random name, but the title and comment are drawn from the album.

A tiny problem is that the spaces I insert are suppressed.
They are memorized in the project, and also Alt/Enter is memorized if any, but they are not generated in the album.

In the project, clicking in the title does continue show the many spaces.

Maybe i can use an html code like & nbsp; ?
BTW, the multiple spaces are also suppressed in this forum.

In HTML, all multiple spaces are compressed to a single space. If you enter:
the dog

or

the dog
It's displayed in a browser as:
the dog
So yes, you need to enter multiple spaces as the&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;dog.
