It all started for me in 1973, when my sadly deceased brother
gave me a Kodak Instamatic 155-X. I was 5 years old at the time.
In 1977 I got a Canon AT1, my first “real”camera, which I loved and used until the late 1980s.
Then other things became more important: partying, festivals, tuning motorcycles
and meeting girls...

Back then, no one dared to dream of the internet and digital photography...
But photography had somehow become genetically ingrained in me, so in the early 2000s, I bought an Olympus 2100UZ, traded my Atari ST1040 for a Windows PC, and was thrilled with the “brutal” resolution of approx. 2 Mpx!
Several other cameras followed, and in 2009 I launched my first website.
Now I collect analog equipment from the “old days” and am involved in nature photography, macro, microphotography, astrophotography, infrared, panoramic photography, aerial photography, etc
.
I havealways been able to rely on Jalbum and Turtle/Tiger.
How did you get started, and did it “escalate” for you in the same way?
