With a 16x9 4k display mounted vertically - let's assume we are using the 'Scaling=Fit'; what settings would work best for the display of only images that are better suited to portrait orientation. Would it be simpler, since the display is permanently mounted, to rotate the image (especially if there are 100's of images) prior to adding the images to jAlbum.

I don't understand this question. Portrait images are supposed to be displayed in portrait.

If you're trying to put together some sort of "kiosk" display, where there's no human interaction expected, I don't think I'd go down this road at all. There are plenty of video editing apps in which you could assemble your photos and produce a simple, single MP4 of the intended show. Much more robust, for a static display.

For Laza- The 4k display ( a 75" 4k TV) is mounted in a vertically but expects a horizontal/landscape image. I am hopeful that jAlbum can serve up and image in a rotated format. I do not know the best way to do that.

For Jeff - I can not go down the path of video editing apps for a number of reasons including I don't have video editing experience. Plus, the number of images that I am displaying is over 350 4k images. I have experience of close to 1,000 images in a kiosk forever display and it works. I do not have experience with jAlbum and setting up a display as described above.
