Aspect ratio of "view" thumbnails

I've noticed that "view" thumbnails have different aspect ratios depending on the image. It would be great if the aspect ratios of the "folder" thumbnails and the "view" thumbnails would be the same.

When it comes to thumbnail display, a view is no different from any other folder. So, the folder and image thumbnails will obey the same rules - fixed shape or not, justified, etc.

Hi Jeff. I guess I wasn't clear enough. In the settings, I've set a fixed aspect ratio of 4:3 for folders. However, the "view" thumbnails have different aspect ratios. See screenshots.

This is probably a side effect from the fact that when it comes to folder thumbnails, Laza "rolls his own," rather than using the built-in jAlbum routines (he was doing folder thumbnails before the core had full support for them). I'll have to leave it to him.....

Yes, you're right. In the views, the skin is using the thumbnail paths that jAlbum gives. I haven't noticed it yet, because all the views I tested before were made up of normal images. I will have to find a way to recalculate the path to the skin-generated folder thumbnails. (Fortunately, not many views include folders.)

BTW, how can I make a view that has folders, too? Even the "recently added" view is skipping folders.

Alphabetical view is my go to.

Yup. That one pretty much always gives you folders, unless your images are all named IMG_something.jpg. If you've got a bunch of ordinary digital images, the Date view is a good one, too.

When a subfolder in a view has a normal image, it works for me. I believe the problem happens when such a subfolder is represented by a folder.
