Force Remake not working

Win 11 jAlbum 38.1 Tiger skin

I cannot get "Force Remake" to work if change the text in Album Settings | Effects | Text or Change the Strength or change the Alignment from bottom right to top left

As a test, I finally managed to change the thumbnail size by deleting, rebooting and reinstalling jAlbum, but the Effects settings were still not applied.

Is there something else I need to do or to change to force a complete album rebuild?

Has the text setting been saved?
Have you looked at the album using the built in browser or an external one?
If external, try clearing the cache or using another browser.

You shouldn’t need to do a force remake, that’s will remake all images and results in a bigger upload. After such a change a normal make is enough to do.

Yes, the text has been saved and the project has been saved - needed when I did a reboot. I've tried with two different external browsers and I've cleared their caches.

I've actually deleted jAlbum and reinstalled it twice to check clearing all the cache and other data.

I've also uploaded the project.

I've now tried installing jAlbum 30.0.3 and. from a quick test. have the same problem with the text/alignment

The project contains over 4000 images and it manages to force rebuild in less than 20 seconds.

Make sure you’re not telling it to process only updated subdirectories.

OK, it must have been a corruption somewhere in the .jap file

I increased the text size and moved it to the centre and then rebuilt the album using the Plain skin, then with the Responsive skin and back to the original Tiger skin. I could then make changed again to the text size and position and the images are now OK.

However the other skins have changed some of my other Tiger skin settings so I need to recover those.

Have you saved your settings as either 'Default' or 'Tiger default" ? See https://jalbum.net/help/en/JAlbum/Menus#Save_as_default

Or saved a backup of your settings, see https://jalbum.net/help/en/jAlbum/Preferences#Save_backups_of_projects_.28settings.29

Links are for current version of jAlbum
