Skin ZigZag and the trackingcode from StatCounter

Hello,

Skin ZigZag: I'm unable to insert the Statcounter tracking code in a way that actually registers website visits. Using Settings > Footer or Advanced doesn't result in an index.html file containing the code. Placing the code in the Page-Footer.inc file also doesn't work. Is there another location where the code can be inserted?

Kind regards, Peter

There is no specific advanced setting for custom javascript code. What does Statcounter say to add and where? Exactly what did you enter in the footer setting?

Goodmorning Rob,

I have just put the code in the plugin WP code (as a universal snippit): has no effect.

In the page-footer.inc file i've placed the code like this:

<%-- Page footer --%>

<!-- Default Statcounter code for Sant Feliu de Guixols
Flyer
https://filedn.com/laB0Ji2RFPMyU3fbVwdIb6Y/Sant%20Feliu%20de%20Guixols/Sant%20Feliu%20de%20Guixols%2
-->
<script type="text/javascript">
var sc_project=nnn;
var sc_invisible=1;
var sc_security="xxx";
</script>
<script type="text/javascript"
src="https://www.statcounter.com/counter/counter.js"
async></script>
<noscript>
<a title="Web Analytics
Made Easy - Statcounter" href="https://statcounter.com/"
target="_blank"><img class="statcounter"
src="https://c.statcounter.com/nnn/0/xxx/1/"
alt="Web Analytics Made Easy - Statcounter"
referrerPolicy="no-referrer-when-downgrade"></a>
</noscript>
<!-- End of Statcounter Code -->

<ja:include page="common-footer.inc" />

but, also no effect.

Statcounter says to put it in the htlml file (i think that the index.html file), but when i do so and i generate in Jalbum the album again, the added code isn't there anymore...

Magic?

Regards, Peter

Try editing the skin’s common-footer.inc file. Add the code just before the
</body>

Remake the album and upload it. You will need to make the same edit every time the skin is updated.

If it still doesn’t work post a link to the site so it can be checked.

Hello Rob,

The problem is solved: i have put the code directly manually in the index file.

Thanks, Rob, for reviewing and thinking along. Perhaps the ZigZag skin could be adjusted so that this kind of code can be added directly into the skin.

With regards, Peter
