Effect exclusion issues

From the release notes:

Folders can now also have image effects excluded

Using Effects, add a text watermark. Using the context menu, exclude the effect for one folder. Now go back to Effects, and remove the text watermark entirely. The folder still shows the icon that indicates that there is an excluded effect.

And changes done this way require a Force Remake - the core doesn't seem to know what images it needs to reprocess, particularly after the removal of an effect from one folder.

There seem to be some other inconsistencies, which another confused old man, who shall remain nameless, is currently exploring. ;)

Well I'm less confused after restarting jAlbum and trying another project with a different skin - a project that has not had any effects applied before. It is now working for all effects on the settings tab.

What is inconsistent though is that the explore thumbnails do not reflect the effects applied, like grey or arty. The explore thumbnails do reflect effects settings made to individual images.

The effects under settings are typically only applied to slide images.

But can they be made to be applied, the same as for effects in edit mode? It would be more consistent. If not, it’s not really that bothersome.

There are some historical reasons as to how effects / image tools / filters have evolved over the years. If we remade everything, we'd keep a more intuitive model. Now it's a hybrid.

If you're done playing with RobM, any reaction to my initial bug report?

Even worse is that all of the images in that excluded folder show the excluded effects icon, all images in included folders don't show the icon after the effect have been removed.
