Playing with preferences to find an overall color scheme for the application while building... found the Preferences option and have tried the various schemes for the application. All seem either bright or dark.
`
Appears there is no medium color background scheme, like a dull lite grey or tan.
Is this correct ?
Any option for a custom scheme ?

Thanks, just played with the 'old styles' via that trick you mentioned. Found the CDE is closer to medium colors. Odd they would hide these but still be available.

Glanced at the JetBrain site and first glance, nothing similar to medium. May look more later.

Also odd is a medium tone or two is not one of the defaults, just bright or dark.

Thanks again,

They're all sort of embarrassing relics from an earlier era. Other apps generally no longer offer anything that looks like those. Modern browsers, for example, generally offer either "light" or "dark." No gray, no polychrome.

Very tough to work out a scheme using medium grays that still preserves legible text, and at the end of the day, being able to read the settings is what it's all about. Your site visitors never see it, of course.
