An Upload Error This Time
Posted: 30 Dec 24, 04:04

Attachment jalbum-error.png (27.9 KB)
Attachment defaults.jap (3.0 KB)
Obviously, the cause of this error is on me as JA was functioning at 100 percent prior to my recent addition of scanned images. MOF, it was only after the last five hundred or so additions (1500 total,) and the first 1000 made/uploaded as advertised. The error is attached and again, I'm clueless.

Both JA and Tiger are up to date, BTW and TIA. Subfolder to main album is where the new files were added..

(Thread moved to Uploading albums )

If your'e not using SFTP, you should be. It gets rid of a lot of these kinds of problems.

Yes, I'm using SFTP, Jeff. Again, that particular problem was brief and went away after rebooting the machine. But now I am getting a stalled Make, (see attached) Consequently, I believe my .jap files are out of sync. In any event, a Make <Ctrl><M>, stalls about halfway through now and I'm dead in the water for that album. The Older album while twice as large, Makes and Uploads normally.

Sorry to keep bugging you Jeff but despite valiant search attempts, I could not find any relevant info on this particular issue and TIA.

If jAlbum is still responsive click on the red warning triangle and copy/paste the error details (or directly from the System console (F7) ).

If jAlbum has hung restart and check that you have the watchdog set under preferences > Advanced > Use watchdog. Then try again, after it has hung for 20s force quit and post the 'thread-dump.txt' file found in jAlbum's configuration folder.

Thanks Rob and JA was responsive but I did not have Watchdog enabled, now I do. Currently running another upload and I'll letcha know either way. These fleeting issues are frustratingly annoying, especially when all was well two days ago. More when I know more..

It took almost eleven minutes but the upload finished as designed to include the upload time so once again, I haven't a clue why the time before hung multiple times in a row and then, didn't. But thanks as always Rob and if it re-occurs, I'll be back with the Watchdog data.

Always keep an look out for the red warning triangle when things don't go as they should, if it is clickable there will be error data that will be helpful.
