Alternate location for the Photo Data button in lightbox
Posted: 27 Oct 24, 02:20

Providing the viewer with the option to view metadata (which I use for title, keywords, etc.) if the Show Photo Data option is checked is great! However, the location of the camera icon button as displayed below the image takes up valuable vertical space that could be used for a much larger image. Is there a way to reposition the button? Could the camera icon button be added to the others in the upper right along with others (zoom, slide show, and full screen)? Am I missing something that is already there?

No, the buttons at the top are the controls of the lightbox - i.e. they remain constantly. In contrast, the buttons at the bottom belong to the actual picture. Using only the photo data button, but no captions or other buttons is a special case. There might be a lot of such combinations where the design might look flawed, but I can't think of all in advance.

Story skin has these picture-related buttons on the top bar. It has a different index page arrangement, but if you don't insist on the sidebar that skin might be worth trying.
