Online jAlbum - upload problems

since yesterday i can no longer upload photo's for a online album - even small resolutions - everytime an error after trying to upoad the first foto

I can confirm that online jAlbum appears to be broken. I can't upload images from Windows or macOS, with a very solid internet connection.
Anders will need to investigate.
(I'll move this thread to Uploading, which is a better fit.)

Should be fixed now, so please try again. Thanks for reporting!
The scaling of the thumbnails stopped working, so you have to delete the broken ones, and then upload them again. I'll investigate further why this happened and make sure it doesn't happen again. (Seems like the server ran out of some file handling resource.)

You're probably going to have to help some users clear out the debris from earlier failed efforts. I started a new album, and added 5 images, but I noticed that there were 7 thumbnail boxes, two of them with "broken image" indicators rather than thumbnail images, but seemingly without a way to delete them. The album it created was a bit of a mish-mash.

It also doesn't seem to be able to extract a representing thumbnail for the album, so the profile page is showing a generic thumbnail. I got around it by editing the album and clicking "next" to get off the existing "broken image" entry for Cover. The problem did not persist, happily. Once I had cleared out that one failure, a subsequent album behaved normally, extracting the representing image on its own.
In short, some lingering messiness.

jAlbum should get one of those hosting plans that has "unlimited everything." You could probably also get a free domain for life, and Wordpress optimization, too.  |
