jAlbum (desktop/laptop) only runs on the M# chip or Intel (ignoring the ancient Motorola Power PC chip). So downloads would be better named M something.

That’s settled then ;)

I updated the download button from saying "M1/M2 CPU" to "M-series CPU" on Thursday. Didn't know you were voting here (and I had already changed it then). :)

Fix: Plain RGB color selectors would incorrectly display alpha channel too

Not even sure why I looked at it, but the CMYK selector is behaving oddly. When you first open it, it's all black (first.png). If you then to go to Swatches, choose a color swatch, then go back to CMYK, it's OK again (revisit.png). But if you close the color selector and then open it again, the CMYK panel is black again.

Frankly, I think I'd ditch the entire CMYK panel. Does anyone use this, ever?

ETA: For those not familiar with it, CMYK is used exclusively in the commercial printing business. It's based on ink colors. It's virtually never used in the digital realm. It also has a narrower range than RGB, capable of showing only about 70% of the colors that are possible with RGB.

The HSV and HSL selectors, on the other hand, are based on RGB, but presented in a way that makes color adjustment more intuitive.

Does this problem occur with a specific version of jAlbum (read Java)

Good guess - it's OK with Java 20, not OK with Java 22.

Thanks for testing. Sad, but not big enough problem for deterring us from making this Java update.

Agreed - it's a minor glitch. And as I said, you could just eliminate the CMYK tab entirely. I doubt that anyone would even notice.
