I want to use Lucid for settup up a gallery for panorama pictures. I'unable to achieve the following two requirements - any help appreciated:

  • How to keep the aspection ratio of the pictures? Although the tool tip in the image settings dialoge promises to keep the aspect ratio, the result does not! The Miniatures show all the same height and are shortened in length?
  • How to move the picture's title and comment text out of the picture's area? Seems like Lucid skin only allows me to specify the text within the picture's frame? Why not bottom of window?

Thanks for your replies,
Robert

Pano's present a problem. Under Lucid > Control bar > Thumbnails, you can choose Grid. This will make all of the thumbnails exactly 400x50 pixels (the setting you have chosen for them). That will, of course, result in some cropping, to make the thumbnails fit that 8:1 aspect ratio. If you choose Masonry, instead, the thumbnails will be constrained to a 3.3:1 ratio. Why? Because it's simply not possible to do a masonry (i.e., fully justified) layout when the images have extreme aspect ratios.

There is no "perfect" solution.

The only caption position options in the skin involve placing the caption somewhere on the image. This is inherent in the design of the lightbox. To keep the caption off the image entirely, I think you'll have to choose another skin.
