Uploading goes mad in Tiger skin.

It looks like all of the videofiles have been uploaded, even I interrupted the uploading progress as it looks like it keeps running. I attach a screenschot.
Furthermore, I noticed that the amount of images and videofiles are incorrect. In reality, there should be 4333 images and 83 videofiles but after I tried to upload (I had to stop the uploading progress of the video files since it takes literally hours), it shows 17172 images (about 4 times the correct amount) and 332 video files. Please see https://www.globetrotters.be/VideoChannel/
I also notice that behind the uploading information pop-up screen there's a number (8) see screenshot. I'm not sure what this means ?
Thanks again for any input folks.

On the file count, remember that for every object in the album, there are at least two images - a scaled slide image and a thumbnail.
Then, you have told Tiger to make slide pages (screenshot). This is unnecessary, and adds more files that have to be uploaded.
You're telling jAlbum to produce multiple variants for each slide image and thumbnail. This is also totally unnecessary, and is vastly increasing the number of files, and the size of the upload. Turn them all off (screenshot). Instead, just make the image bounds larger, like 2000x1000 instead of 1000x800, and choose HiDPI Thumbnails to compensate for the lack of variants (screenshot).
If you're also including originals, that also cranks up the number of files, and the size of the upload - it doesn't appear that you have chosen that option, which is good!

Just did a quick test with an album with just 3 typical digital images, first with your settings, and then with mine. Compare the screenshots, which show just the slides directory of the output.
With your settings, 15 files, for a total 2.4MB. With my settings, the JPG's are larger, but it's only 3 files, and a total of 1.0MB.

Thank you very much Jeff. Your reply is again much appreciated. The uploading is now fast and running. Still the image count is not correct but I guess there's no way to have these unneeded files being removed ?
Something else that caught my eye. I was able to choose a thumbnail from any frame at the videofiles by using a slider. That's really cool.
With my previous old jAlbum version, I had to create thm files. Now it seems that after uploading the video files, jAlbum is still using these earlier created thumbnails 150x200 which result in a blurry thumbnail because I used a larger setting. Even if I deleted these jpg/thm files from the folder and after I use a frame from a video file to represent the film, after making the album, and uploading still jAlbum choose the thm files. Is it possible that these 150x200 jpg files are still "hanging" somewhere around ?

If you change the settings as I suggested, the unneeded files are automatically removed from the album, and will also be deleted from the server.
And remember, the file count includes index pages, slides, and thumbnails.

I'll have to experiment with that a bit - the THM files are sort of "hidden" from view, so it might be tough to get rid of them.

Interesting! The jAlbum core almost gets this right. If you select a frame from the video, it deletes the THM file, along with the cached thumbnail. I find that it sometimes takes a couple of tries, and you often have to refresh the Explore view with a quick F5.
But then, it doesn't know that it needs to generate a new thumbnail when you make the album, so the old one is still there!
The quick fix is to open the output directory of the project, and delete the entire thumbs directory. That will force jAlbum to make new ones, without reprocessing all the videos, which you really want to avoid!

Hi Jeff, thank you for this solution. I was about to delete these affected video files and upload them again after I renamed them.
But your solution seems a much better and much less time consuming.
However, before I do something wrong, could you please explain briefly where/how to delete the thumbs in the output directory ? It's maybe a silly question but where can I find the output directory please ?
Update : I think I found it at Tools, Open folder, Target folder (output directory ?). Excuse my technical english is minimal. In there I notice a folder called thumbs but when I open it, all the thumbs are already frozen frames that I had selected from the video, none of the old thumbs are inside there anymore.
Thanks so much for all your help.

Excellent!
I'll have to buy you a beer some day.
I want you to drive down to the Valais region of Switzerland, buy a case of Petite Arvine wine, and have it shipped to me. I'm sure that will be very inexpensive.
