I get the following error message,

No connection possible. Server reports: Auth fail for methods 'publickey,gssapi-keyex,gssapi-with-mic'

anyone have an idea

Perhaps your web host has special requirements on allowed cipher suites? Set jAlbum's logging level to FINEST under Preferences, then retry the connection. jAlbum will then print details of the cipher suite negotiation to the system console (F7). You can attach the negotiation here.
