How to Downgrade a Skin Version

Hello,

I've searched but I can't find an answer to my question.

I'm using Tiger on macOS and would like to know how to downgrade the skin version. I go to the skins website, download an earlier version ".jaskin" file, and then the only way I know how to install that is to double-click it. jAlbum asks "Would you like to install it?" I say yes and it says it's installed but when I look at the version # of Tiger in jAlbum it's still the newer, current one I have. I also don't see another version of Tiger available in the jAlbum interface.

With .zip files I could probably make my own folder in the skins directory (I see there are 2, one for built-in skins and one for user-created skins) and give it a different name and install it like that, but I don't know how to work with "jaskin" files other than double-clicking them.

Thanks in advance.

.jaskin is just a .zip file with a different name. Just change it to .zip and expand it, then rename the folder and finally add that folder to the user’s skin directory.

However, there is an alternative way, but it would need doing with each new install of jAlbum.
From the Skin and Style section of the Welcome page
‘If you want to revert to an earlier version of a bundled skin then you will need to remove the bundled skin before you can select the older version. To delete the bundled skin select it and then click on the skin info button, confirm it is the bundled version by checking its location and then click the delete button, see 'Skin info' below for details.’

Great. If you want to find something in the wiki help I suggest using the glossary before searching. There is so much information in the wiki that searching can return too many results. If you do use the search though, use this search as it has information on how best to search for something.
