Is it possible to show cylindrical 360 degree panoramas with the Tiger skin?
I use PanoramaStudio 3 Pro software to create my panoramas.
Here is an example where you have to click a play button.

I think the only way to handle cylindricals in Tiger is the same way you handled them in Matrix. Build a separate page, then tell Tiger to show that page. See external.png. You would have to tinker with the box size, of course, depending upon the original pano. In the album, your pano player would be shown.

Or you could tag the image as a pano. See pano.png. You would need to set the image bounds to something like 10000x900, to avoid having the pano resized (this would not have any bad effect on regular images). In the album, the visitor could scroll left and right to see the whole image.

Here's a test album I slapped together. The first object just uses a dummy image to call your own pano viewer page. The second object lets Tiger show the Louvre as a pano.

The skin has no way of detecting that the "show" is over - the player isn't sending back a "finished" code, the way an embedded video does. In fact, the skin doesn't know what that embedded page is doing at all - it could be anything.


I changed only one thing from the default settings. The original of that image is 9974x2280. I set the image bounds to 10000x800. The slide image generated by the jAlbum core is 3500x800 (so image bounds of 3500x800 would be big enough).
