I am paying for image hosting on the JAlbum site and lately the uploads are awful! It is taking many minutes to upload a single 2 Mb image! What gives? I have a gigabit connection and other sites take maybe 15 seconds for similar uploads..

Sorry to hear. Can you please try again uploading the "Sample Portfolio" project (43 MB). I got around 6MB/s on my wifi LAN when doing a test upload now.

If the problem persists, check if you're having any "security software" that may interfere with the upload process, then get back to us.

I just did a quick test from CT, on a connection that measures out at 350mbps down / 11mbps up, and was getting a consistent 1.33Mbps. The 26MB Sample Project uploaded in 18 seconds.

Besides getting rid of unneeded "security" software, also make sure that you're getting what you're paying for from your internet provider. Install this app:

https://www.speedtest.net/apps/desktop

The online test is OK, but not very accurate at higher speeds - the installed app is much better. During the test, the needle on the meter should pretty much stay in one spot - if it's bouncing up and down, you've got connectivity problems.
