If that folder is still not working correctly, you need to delete it and create it again. Do not copy the existing folder - that will just bring the problems with it. Open the saved project, navigate to that folder, select it, and hit the Delete key.

Now add the folder again. Name it Dschungelcamp, which is what it was originally. Now add the 50 images you want to use for that folder. Click Make Album, and when it's done, hit F12 to preview it. Is that folder now working correctly?

Once the album is all working correctly when previewed locally, then, and only then, is it time to upload it.

If you use FileZilla, tell it to upload only new or changed files. Then mark the entire album on the left, and tell it to upload it to the server. Do not try to pick and choose individual folders and files. Yes, this will be slow, but it will ensure that all of the needed files are uploaded.

It will be much faster to use the jAlbum uploader. I strongly suggest that you set up an uploading profile for your server using SFTP, which is much more robust than regular FTP. See myprofile.png for an example (this one for my own skin demo domain).

SFTP often needs special port number. You can't guess what it is - you will need to ask your web host what port number you should use for SFTP. Once you have that information, click Advanced on the screen in myprofile.png, and enter the port number as shown in myport.png. For my webhost, it's port 2233, but every host is different.

Now click Connect to attach to your web host. Navigate to the directory that contains your site, and click the "Mark as web root" icon. See mywebroot.png

Close the window, and return to the album project.

Finally, click Upload in the main jAlbum window. Make sure it's using the correct uploading profile before clicking OK.

The first time, it will be no faster than FileZilla, because it has to create a manifest file. But when doing updates in the future, it will be many, many times faster than FileZilla, and it will be reliable.

Thanks ,
I did does that allready and it worked ...
And it seems that I was able to manage the other problem (As I could see - did not checked all folders)

I wil follow your advice and will let upload it via jalbum, but hope that the program will not need all the time to upload all everytime. This time it tooked a little bit more than 2 hours via a 1000 Mbit line.

Sorry, I didn't mean to be offending. The error message said the current folder is missing from the top-level database. This error will instantly make this folder broken. The only way to avoid this, please make sure to upload the top-level folder's tree.json and deep-data.json files every time you make changes to the album. Still, it's best to let jAlbum manage the uploads. It keeps track of the changes and is quite speedy, with 10 concurrent uploads.

And naturally, always test the local album first. If that works, and the uploaded won't, it's 99.99% sure the upload hasn't been completed.

I saw, but I have no idea how this could have happened. Perhaps some backup software did merge the latest version with the repo version? Mysterious.

Without doing a manual edit, I'm not sure how I could make that happen even if I wanted to!
