Setting the link to the external photo viewer via ALT+context menu gives a crash:

The location "D:\Program Files\Photoshop Elements 2020\Elements Home\Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020.exe" can be opened with the Windows file explorer without problems.

jAlbum 19.2 and latest version of Windows 10

Same problem on my laptop where the exe is on the C drive.
I did also try it also by entering by hand "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2020\Elements Home\Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020.exe" but that did give the same error.

The first line shows why it's failing - it's trying to run:

"D:\Users\Andre\Documents\"D:\Program Files\Photoshop Elements 2020\Elements Home\Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020.exe""

I don't know why the path is mangled like that. Doesn't happen on either of my platforms (Win10, macOS). Just a hunch, but it's almost as if the Windows PATH variable has been meddled with.

I have no idea what you mean by that, but on my laptop I can start PSE by entering 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2020\Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020.lnk' in the path field of the file explorer.
But if I put that string in the jAlbum browser field I get error message:
java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2020\Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020.lnk": CreateProcess error=193, %1 is geen geldige Win32-toepassing

If I enter the address of the exe, "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2020\Elements Home\Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020.exe" in the jAlbum browser field I get error message:
java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2020\"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2020\Elements Home\Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020.exe"": CreateProcess error=5, Toegang geweigerd

You should naturally use the path to the .exe file and not to the .lnk file (.lnk files are ugly Windows tricks to simulate soft links). I tried to set up a link to "Faststone Image Viewer" just to see if I can reproduce your problem with that odd path, but it works here.

I did start with the exe file, see the first line in the crash report.

Well I use PhotoShop Elements 2020 and that does not work here.

If I install that program on my C: disk it is OK, no error.
If I install that program on my D: disk I get the same error.

jAlbum is also installed on the D: disk.
