Last question just to be sure.

Where should I have to upload the folder with my album?

See the attached screen shot of the server...

Thanks a lot.

Upload the album to public_html/album. It's in the right place.

/album/ is not good because the blog post's name is also album, so only one of them will work. After I figured this out Fabio has put the album in the /jalbum/ folder, which is good. So the album should go to (public_html)/jalbum/, the post is named "album" and the Album URL should be "/jalbum/".

In fact, Fabio is making one of the classic jAlbum mistakes - he's uploading the album folder, instead of the contents of the album folder.

Let's say you want to have two albums on your site, one for dog pictures, one for cat pictures. Make the two albums. Now connect to the server and under public_html, create a directory called dogalbum. Create another directory under public_html called catalbum.

Now upload the contents of the album folder for the dog pictures album project to public_html/dogalbum. You should end up with something like:

public_html/dogalbum/res
public_html/dogalbum/slides
public_html/dogalbum/thumbs
public_html/dogalbum/index.html

... and so on.

Now do the same for the cat pictures album - upload the contents of the album folder for the cat pictures album to public_html/catalbum. You should have this:

public_html/catalbum/res
public_html/catalbum/slides
public_html/catalbum/thumbs
public_html/catalbum/index.html

... and so on.

Now the URL for the dog album would be http://morniroli.it/dogalbum and the URL for the cat album would be http://morniroli.it/catalbum.

I did some other test and I can say that the jAlbum bridge works also with both URL named /Album/. I think that the problems that I had were because of the tree.json MIME.

Give a look http://morniroli.it/album/ .

Now I have to work on that page so as to have the WP theme around the projector.

Suggestions?

Thanks

No, it doesn't work - that's why you don't see the Wordpress post, only the jAlbum album. Please choose another folder name than "album" for uploading the album, or rename the Wordpress blog post, otherwise I can't help, sorry.

(Thread moved - this is not really about the Tiger skin - it's about the jAlbum Bridge plugin.)

Hi,

I dont: succes to imbed the test album
https://webalben.rezkonv.de/albums/WPbridge/album/
in an article of my WP site
https://blog.rezkonv.de/2016/01/27/jalbum_wpbridge/
(note: the password is jalbum - only small letters)

The tree.json file is present in the root directory of the album above as requested

The jAlbum box within the Wordpress article contains
jalbum_bridge albumurl="https://webalben.rezkonv.de/albums/WPbridge/album/" slideshowdelay="2000" transitionspeed="1000"

What is wrong?

Best regards.

It could be due to needing a password, the jAlbum images are showing if I use MIHTool browser on an iPad. MIHTool is not a standard browser, it is designed as a debug tool for websites viewed on iOS devices.

I tested it also without the need of a password, i.e. with a public article. Same behavoiur.
Now the article is made public again.

I see an empty space where the album shoiuld be shown.

Best regards

Hi,
I can read the link with my Desktop-PC (Chrome and Windows) and with my Android Smartphone. Do you need more than read access?

You’ll need to wait for a response from someone who knows about this stuff or see if your web host can help.
