Having problems getting face region to display

I am having problems getting jAlbum 17.1.1 and Turtle 5.6.6 to display face regions. I have created a sample album to demonstrate the problem:
http://bfulgham.com/FaceRegion
I may be missing something somewhere, but it looks to me like the face tag area should display.

Suggestions as to where I should look next?

In theory this should work, but I saw the region is not tagged, that is it's only a region but nothing to display. Usually the "Name" field should contain the tag:
xmp.mwg-rs:Regions/mwg-rs:RegionList[1]/mwg-rs:Name=SomeName

Try adding this field in Lightroom too, and if that fails can you please share an image so I can look into it?

I see now, Lightroom is using a different field to write out the name, still it writes out the region coords in MWG format too. I will update my library to be prepared for this case too. Please note, Tiger skin is what I keep maintained - perhaps I will update Turtle too eventually, - but my new skins are using a common codebase, not like the old Turtle.

Update:

The code should be able to read the regions even from this data, provided Lightroom wrote a reference to the regions array. It seems Lightroom skips the array and give reference only to the first element. I don't know what the standards say, if it's legit or not, but I will modify my code accordingly.

Attachment Util.jar (104.0 KB)
Can you please save this file into the skin directory (Ctrl-Shift-S from jAlbum) / lib folder, and reopen the album to test?

Laza,
Thank you for the quick response, and the changes you made. I copied the updated file to the skin lib directory, opened the album, and did a make. The facial recognition box now displays perfectly.

I am more than happy to migrate to the Tiger skin (I had migrated another album structure quite awhile back). The last time I checked, the face recognition was still on your to-do list for Tiger. I'm having the same problem with Tiger and the Lightroom metadata.

I have attached a fresh copy of the original picture to this post.

Hi,

As far as I know the face tagging was present since the beginning. There was an error related to Windows Live tagged photos, but that has been fixed half a year ago.

Sorry to be a pain, but I appear to have the same issue with Tiger.
I copied the FaceRegion album directory structure to FaceRegionTiger.
Opened the new album and changed the skin to Tiger.
Added a new photo and a few screen shots.
Make All
Upload to http://bfulgham.com/FaceRegionTiger/index.html

The Tiger album is not displaying the facial regions nor is it displaying the face tag button on the info panel at the bottom of the screen.

Correct

The same logic was built into Tiger, so it works if you tag with jAlbum, Windows Live Photo Gallery or Picasa, but Lightroom has another data structure. I have fixed Tiger (and Projector) too, but haven't yet released the update. I'll do it soon.
