In the forum, If I click on "General discussion"' the General discussion index starts to load but gets no further than the column headings.
If, after returning to the Forum Home page, I click on the "Last Post by" user name, that thread opens.
If I then click on "Previous thread", I get this error

HTTP ERROR 500
Problem accessing /forum/thread.jspa. Reason:"General
INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR
Caused by:
java.lang.NullPointerException

You can get to all of the ‘next’ threads though, so something in that first thread is dodgy

Thanks for the report. I've fixed it now. A thread was started with a non-existing starting message. Happens from time to time. Don't know why...

Almost there, but I can't get rid of the "unread" marker on the forum section. IIRC, that requires an additional fix, but I don't remember what it is.

ETA: got rid of it by posting, then deleting, a test thread in the forum section.
