Some ftp server seem to convert filenames to lower case. This is of course a problem that causes dead links when browsing on servers on UNIX systems that are case sensitive. Here is a JAlbum tool that converts filenames to lower case. Put it inside the "tools" JAlbum directory, restart JAlbum, select an image directory and select this tool from the "tools" menu.
