Yes, that has gotten rid of the mysterious console error upon loading or opening an empty project.

Same problem. I've also tried removing things like my defaults.jap, so that it retreats to "out of the box" settings. No difference.

It's a mystery that happens for you Jeff. I can't reproduce, and it shouldn't really be possible. Please do another core update now (rev 15), it tries to recover better and print debug info to the system console if this happens. Please pass me the debug...
