Never before seen message when opening web site.

This does not happen every time, but occasionally, when I open my website using Google Chrome, I get a message that:
"Fatal Error!
The browser blocked access to the local album's database file. Always use jAlbum's Preview (F12) for testing! No such issues occur with uploaded album."
I always F12 / Preview my site before uploading. This is also a reasonably new message that started a couple of weeks ago.
As I said, it does not do this every time, and if I close the message box, everything "seems" to be working OK.
Kind Regards - Nigel.

If you are using a bundled skin, like Tiger, you can't open the album by double clicking on the index.html file. Bundled skins must be previewed from jAlbum and you must have jAlbum's local server running - see use embedded server

Me too. "but occasionally, when I open my website using Google Chrome, I get a message that:". Are you previewing in Chrome, with jAlbum's preview set to external or alt/opt+ clicking the preview icon?
Have you checked the preference for the web server?

Hence, the confusion is raining down!!
No, this is from the website itself after publishing. Not in jAlbum. I always preview in jAlbum using F12
I have three different websites on my server, this is only happening on one of them.

Sorry, more confused now . Quote from first post 'The browser blocked access to the local album's database file. Always use jAlbum's Preview (F12) for testing! No such issues occur with uploaded album."

If this is just one website, on your server, and when viewed with Chrome then I'd have to guess at either Chrome or the one website having something odd about it. Maybe a Chrome plug-in.
Have you tried re-uploading the one website that gives the warning?

It's not a plugin, as all three sites are on the same server (Nginx-powered).
But what I don't understand is how Chrome would specifically tell me what I am supposed to do in jAlbum, especially the bit about F12.
And, is there something that could be called a database? It's not like we are a PHP/CMS! (I escaped that misery to come to jAlbum!

Laza's skins are based on JSON files in the album. For reasons known only to the browsers, they regard these files as a security problem, but only when viewed from your local hard drive. Viewed from a website, they're not a problem.
So, the error message you're seeing can occur only if you're trying to view the album on your local hard drive, by launching the index.html file directly, from the file system on your PC.
The jAlbum preview gets around this limitation by showing you the album, but coming from its own, internal server. The browser is happy, because the files are coming from a "server." They don't know that it's a local server.
Your preview settings should look like this:
Give us a link to the album that you think is coughing up this message when viewed from the web. I'm virtually certain that it will not produce that error message.

Jeff,
Hope you are well and doing all OK.
BUT
You didn't read all the messages. It is NOT coming from my local drive; it happens occasionally when I go to the real website on my server. When I do Preview/F12 in jAlbum I never see that message.
As a thought, could it be some remnant left over in the browser cache?
Nigel.

When you go to the real site on your server do you mean you open the album in Chrome and the address shown is http// address or file://

No problem for me in any browser, despite repeated forced refreshes. AFAIK, no one else has ever reported this, so I really don't have a clue about what might cause it to happen for you.
