I have noticed that when posting a projector albums on Facebook using a basic Internet link, there is no image display anymore since version 4.3 and 4.4; i.e. the thumbnail view is present but is empty, although the link is working:

So it looks like the main thumbnail is not found?
Could this be a Facebook issue? or a JAlbum issue?
Has anyone met the same problem?

I have just tested this, and for me it works. Perhaps if I see the album in question I can tell what's wrong. ~~If your site does not have https support that's a red flag, and probably Facebook will not find the image.~~ You can check if everything is fine in the Facebook debugger

As I see you're trying to share an album from jalbum.net, so https support is present.

I am found a possible root cause of the problem: it depends on the link to the album.

1) This link refering to my jalbum account has the problem:
https://philippecharles.jalbum.net/Parc%20Canadien/

2) This link refering to my album reference in the jalbum database works fine:
https://gallery.jalbum.net/fr/browse/user/album/2123025

So this issue is not depending on the skin. But how can this be possible?

The wrong album has an invalid link for the share image:

<link rel="image_src" href="https://jalbum.net/fr/browse/user/album/1297135/Parc%20Canadien/shareimage.jpg">

This is not the album, it's the frameset that contains the top bar and the album.
Either remove the Upload path or use this:

https://philippecharles.jalbum.net/Parc%20Canadien/

Social sites require absolute links, and this is not known when you generate the album the first time. This is why the Upload path was introduced. Once you have uploaded the album, the skin can ask for the absolute path from jAlbum. I agree this is not optimal, but I couldn't find a better way.

Regarding the top bar on jalbum.net - I must admit I never liked it. It ruins the album's design, and users share the wrong URL.
