I've installed GeoSetter and done just a little tinkering. Seems to work pretty well. There's an initial warning about how it will produce obscured maps because of Google map API changes, but somewhere along the line the developer switched to using OpenMaps, so the warning is a red herring. Under the hood, it's using ExifTool to write the metadata.

I or Anders need to look into this problem. Google has had a history of changing the API requirements multiple times, thus breaking these integrations :-(

I can recommend GeoSetter too, I use it to tag my photes with recorded GPX tracks. But tag photos manually is cool too.
