How to get rid of the new bubbles

How to get rid of the new green instruction "bubbles" and their sound? I find them unnecessary and terribly annoying. I cannot find a setting to control them. Thank you.

They will go away if you "use" the thing the bubble is pointing to. For example, if you use the search box, just once, you will never see the prompt again.

Exactly. Sorry to annoy anyone, but I think it's worth it to ensure that users have used the search box at least once.

Aha! Just needed to pop the bubbles! Thank you, Jeff! I have used the Search and the Refresh button, so now I will wait and see if they stay away. I might have figured this out by being more patient. And thank you, too, David! JAlbum has been such a great program for me!

Unlikely for a regular user but you might see one more search bubble, It's triggered by navigating between 3 panels within a minute (makes jAlbum assume you're looking for something). It only shows once however.
The above extracted from 34.3 beta

...It's triggered by navigating between 3 panels within a minute....
And that's confined to the main jAlbum panels, like General, Images, Advanced, etc. Going from tab to tab within a skin's settings, for example, doesn't make it fire.

The bubble keeps appearing each time I restart jAlbum and add photos to an album.
Annoyingly, if it appears partway through typing a comment the bubble takes precedence and the text being typed is not recorded.
There needs to be a switch to turn it off. It is as bad as the infamous Microsoft Clippit/Clippy

Have you used the thing the bubble refers to, as indicated by Jeff above ?

I copy that, this thing is s-u-p-e-r annoying. And yes, no user should be forced to find out which controls he has to push to make this thing silent. There should be an option to switch it off, once and for all. Thanks, Markus

Jeff, I can't copy that, I tried that every time I start jAlbum, but the bubble reappears.

Which bubble? I haven't seen any of them since day one. Remember, you have to actually use the thing the bubble is pointing to. If it's pointing to the search box, enter some text to search for, like images, then click on one of the links it provides. I don't think you will ever see that bubble again.

Try running UsageCounters.print() from the system console and posting the results here.

I''m talking about the "search" bubble. I did all you wrote, except I did not click on a link. Maybe this is what was missing to make that thing silent.
I'll try that. Thanks

Here we go:
skin selected=30
bg signin=12
signin=12
start=12
resolution=12
open project=14
make album=38
preview=10
open edit view=7
close project=4
keywords edited=2
processed video thumbnail=70
publish album=16
albumobjects move=1
title edited=1
folder dropped=3
open image directory=1
0,771s ==> null

As I suspected, that's not showing that you have ever "used" the search box.
On my machine, there are two more lines (among others):
searchBar=1
searchSupport=3
