What settings do I need to make tiger not display larger than 1:1

I seem to have a recent problem with tiger making my album with images that are way bigger than their resolution so they are looking soft on my website. My images are 1500w max but on my 4k monitor after i build an album and check, the images will be 80% of the screen. If i look at the same image in windows photos app its around 50% . If I click zoom to fit in that it makes it look like tiger is making my images.

I hadnt changed any settings as far as i know.

See screenshot.

And do not tell jAlbum to include any variants on the Images panel. They will just muddy the waters, without providing any benefit.

After making the album, be aware that your browser will have cached the prior version, and will persist in showing it until you do some aggressive cache clearing.

Please allow jAlbum to create and upload the lifeboat file with your album. It saves us a massive amount of time. See Preferences > Projects > Include lifeboat file.

But I'm not seeing any slide images that are being shown larger than their intrinsic sizes. Can you give us a specific example?

I could not see any image magnified beyond 1:1 either.

It seems you are using fixed-shape thumbnails but you haven't uploaded (or not generated) them, and the skin tries to load non-fixed-shape thumbnails, which makes the layout ugly.

That lifeboat option is ticked. Do you want me to upload the file into here?

How do I fix the thumbnail issue?

Also this is what I am seeing (4k monitor). one is my full screen and the photo opened at 1:1 in the photo app. Other is same image in my website.

If I click fit to screen on the windows photo app it seems to be the same size as on my website so i just need it to stop scaling my image up to fit to screen somehow as you can see the drop in quality between the two images.

Turn off Show fit toggle.

Your image bounds are 1500x1000. With the recommended settings, they will never be shown larger than that.

I've got it now. I may have been giving it the wrong URL before, because I was getting a "404 - Not found."

Laza, I think this is a skin bug. The thumbnail bounds are 140x100, but the thumbnails are laid out larger than that, like 186x133. So, the thumbnails are being browser-enlarged, and they look awful.

You can manually override the thumbnail dimensions after the skin sets it. I guess this has happened here. Or the layout was changed after the first generation, and the "Settings / Advanced / Process only updated directories" was turned off.

Sorry i am probably being thick but the constraint of 1000px for height is not being used in my example.
That should be just less than 50% of my display yet on my example image it looks like more like about 80%

My monitor is the more typical 1920x1080, but if I use the developer's toolbar to emulate a much larger monitor, I'm seeing slide images that are no taller than 1000px. Screenshot.

Make sure you've done a thorough emptying of your browser cache. Just hitting F5 is not going to be sufficient.

In this case, the trick is not to try to second-guess the skin, and let it provide the correct settings. Head for Tiger > Sections > Images > Thumbnail columns, and choose 4 instead of 5. Then immediately change back to 5. Tiger will automatically reset the thumbnail image bounds on Image > General > Image bounds > Thumbnails to something like 190x152. Don't change it. These are the correct bounds for the layout you've chosen.

I also strongly suggest that you choose Images > Advanced > HiDPI thumbnails. This will make the thumbnail file sizes larger, but they're still very small. And on any high-density monitor (like a Retina display), they will be much sharper. (Steer clear of HiDPI images, however - large penalty in file sizes, but little or no visual improvement.)

Then Make album again.
