Do i manually override the thumbnail issue in the config files?
In this case, the trick is
not to try to second-guess the skin, and let it provide the correct settings. Head for
Tiger > Sections > Images > Thumbnail columns, and choose 4 instead of 5. Then immediately change back to 5.
Tiger will automatically reset the thumbnail image bounds on
Image > General > Image bounds > Thumbnails to something like 190x152. Don't change it. These are the correct bounds for the layout you've chosen.
I also strongly suggest that you choose
Images > Advanced > HiDPI thumbnails. This will make the thumbnail file sizes larger, but they're still very small. And on any high-density monitor (like a Retina display), they will be much sharper. (Steer clear of
HiDPI images, however - large penalty in file sizes, but little or no visual improvement.)
Then
Make album again.
