Download button not working

I am a sporadic user of jAlbum and I appear to be having a cockpit problem.
I just made my first album with the Plain skin.
Under settings/images/general/Include I checked Originals. (Thumbnails, Scaled images and Originals are now all checked).
I made the album.
I uploaded the album to my website.
When I try to use the 'download' ICON (leftmost ICON in my attached screenshot) to download the image displayed, nothing happens. The other ICONS appear to work normally.
I tried it from my PC and my iPhone.
Is there another setting somewhere that needs to be turned on to make it possible to download the original images? I see the originals in the album folder on my website.
Thanks

Thanks, my default position is that I have made a cockpit error so I figured I just missed something

In 2.4.2, video clips come with a download icon. Add some images and a video or two, make album. While the images will not have the download icon, the MP4s will.

And a skin developer knows why. If you don't know why, you'll be required to surrender your magic decoder ring within 24 hours.
That said, the skin should not do that. And in webkit browsers (Brave, Chrome, Edge, Safari), the browser's own video player always provides a download option, anyway - click on the three dots on the right side of the player's control bar.

It was like this since the beginning, but for sure, by mistake. I've fixed it now.

I re-made the album with Plain ver 2.50 today and the download feature is working, thanks.
Unfortunately, I now see that only one of my photos in the album yields the 'show photo location' and 'Show photo data' ICONS. Prior to this update, I was able to display the map location on several of the photos in the album - I didn't check all of them but didn't notice any with missing ICONS.
They were all taken with my iPhone and the originals I see in the album folder still have the GPS and photo data intact when I view properties on my Windows PC.
I didn't (knowingly) change any parameters when re-made the album after downloading the latest Plain skin.
The latest album I generated may be viewed at:

Any ideas about what I need to do to fix it?
Thanks,
-Ralph

Just made a test album with your project settings, and all the slide images displayed the download, map, and photo data icons.
In the jAlbum Explore view, right-click on one of the images whose information is missing and choose Extensions > List metadata. Are you seeing the camera info and GPS coordinates listed there?

Thanks for the reply.
When I checked Extensions > List metadata I found that only the file that displayed the ICONS displayed the camera data. All the other files had a few lines of metadata but no camera/GPS info.
I see, typically, for the others, this metadata:
Directories:
HEIF (class com.drew.metadata.heif.HeifDirectory)
File Type (class com.drew.metadata.file.FileTypeDirectory)
File (class com.drew.metadata.file.FileSystemDirectory)
File type.Detected File Type Long Name=High Efficiency Image File Format
File type.Detected File Type Name=HEIF
File type.Detected MIME Type=image/heif
File type.Expected File Name Extension=heif
File.File Modified Date=Sun Nov 19 09:25:17 -08:00 2023
File.File Name=IMG_8636.HEIC
File.File Size=4544809 bytes
Heif.Compatible Brands=mif1 MiPr miaf MiHB heic
Heif.Major Brand=heic
Heif.Minor Version=0

None of these data is used on the Photo data popup. Your HEIC files, it seems, don't contain normal exposition data. The GPS data is also missing. Perhaps it's lost during the file transfer. When you use jAlbum's "Add from phone" functionality, mobile phones tend to remove the GPS data due to security reasons.
Did you reprocess these images, or are they straight from the mobile?

I didn't (knowingly) modify files. I just copied them from the phone into a folder on my PC (Windows 11) and then used them when generating the album.
I viewed the metadata via the Windows File Explorer and Adobe and all the files appear to be quite similar, for sure they all have GPS info and the camera data appeared the same except for variations in exposure values. I confirmed that the files in the jalbum 'album' folder were identical to the files I imported (binary same). Unfortunately I don't have a way to compare the files now on the phone with the one's I copied into the PC.
When I made the album the first time with the earlier version of Plain, I didn't notice any files without the photo data and location ICONS. I recall specifically checking several with the map display to see how accurate the GPS info in my phone was.
After the I downloaded the 2.5 version of Plain and remade the album I noticed the missing ICONS.
I also made a completely new album with Plain using the same images and it behaves the same - the same image has the ICONS and the rest don't.
There may be something wrong with my image files that I am not seeing with the methods I'm using to view the meta data. I have a hex editor that I can use to view the file contents but I don't know what to look for.
Thanks for the help.
-Ralph

It worked normally for me with an heic image using exiftool to add GPS metadata. Could you post one of your original images for others to try?

Nothing has changed regarding the metadata or the map in the latest few releases. Could you find any metadata with right-click -> Extensions -> List metadata? If there's no metadata in the photos, the skin can't create them in some magic way.
