Oh, sorry, I was sure it was the final version.

It might have been, but the forum software loused it up.

That is exactly what I did. Verified each line was exactly the same after the cut and paste.

Please attach the project file - jalbum-settings.jap - from the project in which you are testing this.

OK stupid mistake. I did not select the B&W to color in the mouse over drop down. I would like the album to start as color as right now it starts in B&W.

I apologize for this stupid mistake, and the additional time you guys have spent with me on this. I really appreciate it.

Once again, the forum software is playing tricks on us. It has "hidden" some essential pieces of the puzzle.

Using my original example, instead of trying to copy from the forum post, open the attached text file, and copy the code from there. In this case, it's the lightbox caption code that the forum software has damaged.

I'll post a similar file for Laza's version in a moment....

OK, here's Laza's version, with buttons that center, and that are also sensitive to the current toggle state.

Again, copy each chunk of the code from this text file, not from the forum posts!

(This ancient, creaky, unsupported forum software is a curse.)

None of this is actually your fault. The forum software kept mangling the special coding used to make this work. It screwed up my posts, and it screwed up Laza's posts!

Now fixed, with text files attached. Laza's solution is more elegant, and it's what I would use if I wanted to do this. :)

ETA: I'll come back later and try to clear out some of the confusing back-and-forth posts in this thread. ;)

Just inserted Laza's changes and now the album has no options bar buttons.

In the custom Javascript, you're missing the initial letter "f" - it needs to be function, not unction. ;)

I have tried remaking other albums and they all suffer from the same problem NO CONTROL BAR. So I fouled up the skin default. Would it be better to start with a fresh default skin file?

If so should I just re-install the skin or is there something else I can do to fix this issue?

Where do I get the new jap file?

That fixed it. Now, to get the slide back to color instead of B&W to start.

Not sure how that's happening. There's no skin setting to make that happen.

Make sure you aren't using the jAlbum "effects" setting for that - see Settings > Effects > Gray, and make sure it's not enabled.

You haven't been editing the skin's own template files, have you? If not, those are still just fine. What you've done is save your own default settings, and there's an error in there.

Open a project that's got everything set the way you want it, and that works properly. Now choose File > Save as Skin Default.

I would like to make the color button red with white text. I played around a bit with CSS code but to no avail it did nothing.
Thoughts?
