Sorry, can't help you there. I've got a Windows desktop and a Macbook Air. I wouldn't touch any of the Linux distro's for a PC. Good server OS, but a mess for anything else.

I'm going to move this thread to Bug reports. The planting of an incorrect camera date is a problem with the jAlbum core - the skin has no role to play. The skin is correctly picking up the date in the .info file.
David will need to weigh in on this one. I can't replicate the behavior, and it would seem to fall into the "impossible" category. But the poster is clearly seeing it!

Can you confirm what version you just installed? Originally you were on jAlbum version: 32.1.3.
If the problem is on different versions of jAlbum then it is unlikely to be a broken package.
