The ‘New page’ is documented in these two locations

That includes webLocations as well as About, Contact etc. Pages

Right but doesn't the skin have to support it? I'm thinking of the API for it in other words.

Thanks.

For web pages see Skin properties > Full site support

Web locations work with any skin, unless they actively ignore them.

But are there template files or anything else that has to be done? How do I have a page link to it etc.?

That's what I am after. Maybe it's a misunderstanding of how it works though?

For making page templates see https://jalbum.net/help/en/Making_a_page_template

Links to the pages are normally picked up by the skin and added to the navigation bar. Have a look at any of the simpler skins that support templates. If you need more help I can get more details - I’m currently using an iPad!

Yesterday I published the updated skin but I have another question due to a feature of Fancybox.
I do not follow these very long thread, but I was triggered by the name of my skin FancyBox.
The templates files of FancyBox are made following the recipe of RobM, you can see the code in the skin.

And where did you publish that updated skin?

Here is a blog page that introduces page templates, worth a read.

Ah, no. You misunderstand. It uses the jQuery Fancybox lightbox made by Fancyapps. I didn't know there was a skin with the same name! As for my skin? It's at https://jalbum.net/en/skins/skin/Reflections.

Sorry for the confusion.

I've asked Anders to move Reflections out of the "legacy" category, and back to the land of the living. Skins there don't show up on searches or the "recently updated" page.

Ahh yes. I have a vague memory of seeing this now. So much has changed since I last used jAlbum! I'll look at this and the below next time I have a moment and the inclination to work on the skin.

Links to the pages are normally picked up by the skin and added to the navigation bar. Have a look at any of the simpler skins that support templates. If you need more help I can get more details - I’m currently using an iPad!

That includes yours, right? The one that you mentioned to me but cannot think of the name for the life of me.

And I understand on the iPad thing. It can be burdensome. Not as burdensome as a phone but still burdensome (esp if you have the problem I had with my first one - keyboard unresponsiveness).

I'll let you know if I have any other questions. Thanks.

That's a practice that I would ban for jAlbum skins. Besides being confusing, it raises a number of copyright infringement issues.

Hey thanks. I remember Chris said something like this but it didn't register how it was set up; I didn't see on the skin page itself any more of the warning that it hadn't been updated in more than two years so I figured all was good.

I agree but to be fair maybe the skin came first? No idea there. But yes the plugin requires a license for commercial uses.
